Article 1 [Scope of Application of this Agreement]

The lodging agreement concluded between the Fisherman's Inn Acchan (hereinafter referred to as "the Inn") and guests who wish to stay at or are staying at the Inn (hereinafter referred to as "guests") and contracts related thereto shall be governed by the provisions of this agreement, and matters not provided for in this agreement shall be governed by laws or generally established customs.

However, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph at the discretion of the Inn, it is also possible to enter into special agreements within the scope that does not contradict the purpose of this agreement, laws, and customs.
Article 2 [Application for Lodging Agreement]

When making a reservation to stay at the Inn, guests shall make the following application:
+Name and contact information of the representative guest
+Dates of stay, method of arrival, and estimated time of arrival
+Number of guests (even those who are not required to pay accommodation fees, such as infants, must be reported)
+Any other information deemed necessary by the Inn

At the time of application, the Inn shall provide explanations regarding room conditions and accommodation fees.

If a guest requests to extend their stay beyond the dates specified in paragraph 1 during their stay, the Inn shall consider it as a new application for a lodging agreement if it is acceptable.
Article 3 [Formation and Settlement of Lodging Agreement]

The lodging agreement shall be deemed to be formed when the Inn accepts the application under Article 2. However, if the Inn does not accept the application, the agreement shall not be formed.

The accommodation fees and other charges for the guest's use shall generally be settled in full at the time of check-out. However, if the guest wishes to make a prepayment, or if the Inn deems it necessary to request a deposit in advance, the guest may be billed accordingly.

Post-settlement is generally not allowed, unless agreed upon between the Inn and the guest. However, in such cases, a payment deadline shall be agreed upon in advance.
Article 4 [Refusal to Enter into Lodging Agreement]
The Inn may refuse to enter into a lodging agreement at its discretion in the following cases:

When the Inn deems the guest's application under Article 2, paragraph 1 to be inappropriate

When there is no room availability due to full occupancy
-
When the individual intending to stay is deemed to pose a risk of violating laws, public order, or good morals regarding lodging
-
When it is discovered that the guest has an infectious disease
-
When the guest is requested to bear burdens exceeding the agreed scope of lodging
-
When it is impossible for the guest to stay due to natural disasters, facility failures, or other unavoidable reasons
-
When it falls under the provisions of Article 5 of the Kyoto Prefecture Ryokan Business Law Enforcement Regulations.
Article 5 [Cancellation of Lodging Contract by Guest]
A guest may request to cancel the lodging agreement with the Inn, but in doing so, the following conditions shall apply to the guest:

If the guest cancels all or part of the lodging agreement due to the guest's responsibility, a cancellation fee listed in Appendix 1 shall be charged.

If the guest does not arrive by 7:00 PM on the day of arrival without contacting the Inn (or two hours past the specified arrival time, if previously indicated), the lodging agreement shall be considered canceled by the guest, and a cancellation fee listed in Appendix 1 shall be charged.
Article 6 [Cancellation of Lodging Contract by the Inn]
A guest may request to cancel the lodging agreement with the Inn, but in doing so, the following conditions shall apply to the guest:

If the guest's actions are deemed to correspond to the following conditions by the Inn, the lodging agreement may be canceled even on the day of arrival:
+When the guest engages in acts related to lodging that are in violation of laws, public order, or good morals (such as acts causing significant inconvenience to the Inn or other guests)
+When it is clearly determined that the guest has an infectious disease
+When the guest is required to bear burdens that are clearly unreasonable to the Inn
+When it is impossible for the guest to stay due to force majeure such as natural disasters
+When it falls under the provisions of Article 5 of the Kyoto Prefecture Ryokan Business Law Enforcement Regulations
+When the guest violates the rules of use specified by the Inn, such as smoking in bedrooms, tampering with fire-fighting facilities, or other prohibited acts (necessary for fire prevention).
+If the Inn cancels the lodging agreement based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the accommodation fees for services not received by the guest shall not be collected.
Article 7 [Registration of Lodging]

On the day of lodging, guests are requested to cooperate with the following registration (signing the lodging register):
+Name, address, age, gender, and occupation of the guest
+For foreigners, a copy of their passport, nationality, passport number, entry location, and entry date
+Departure date and expected departure time
+Any other information deemed necessary by the inn

The registered information will be kept by the inn as a customer list with the consent of the guest.

If a guest intends to make payment using methods such as accommodation vouchers or credit cards instead of currency, they are requested to present them at the time of registration as per paragraph 1.
Article 8 [Operating Hours of the Inn]

The hours during which guests can use the inn are from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival until 10:00 AM the following day. However, in the case of consecutive stays, excluding the arrival and departure dates, guests may use the facilities throughout the day. The available hours may vary depending on the content of the lodging plan and are subject to change accordingly.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the inn may, at its discretion and subject to its convenience, allow the use of guest rooms outside the specified hours at a designated fee.
Article 9 [Compliance with Rules of Use]
Guests are required to abide by the lodging rules posted within the inn premises.
Article 10 [Payment of Fees]

Payment of accommodation fees and other charges shall be made by currency or methods approved by the inn, such as accommodation vouchers or credit cards, or alternative methods (guests' requests are required at the time of lodging application).

If a guest intentionally fails to lodge despite the availability of a prepared room, the inn shall generally charge the full accommodation fee as stipulated in the contract.
Article 11 [Responsibility of the Inn]

In the event of non-performance of the lodging agreement or related contract by the inn, resulting in damage to the guest, the inn shall compensate for the damage. However, this shall not apply if the reason for such non-performance is not attributable to the inn.

The inn has received appropriate marks from the fire department, but in order to deal with unforeseen events such as fires, we have also taken out ryokan compensation liability insurance.
Article 12 [Handling When the Contracted Room Cannot Be Provided]

If the inn is unable to provide the room contracted by the guest, the inn shall, with the guest's consent, endeavor to arrange alternative facilities under the same conditions.

If, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the inn is unable to arrange alternative accommodation, it shall compensate the guest with an amount equivalent to the cancellation fee, and this compensation shall be deducted from the amount of damages. However, this shall not apply if the inn is not responsible for the non-provision of the room.
Article 13 [Handling of Deposits, etc.]

If items or cash deposited by the guest at the front desk are lost, damaged, etc., the inn shall compensate for the damage unless they are ineffective, except for cash and valuables, in which case the inn shall compensate for the damage up to 100,000 yen if the guest fails to provide evidence of their type and value as requested by the inn.

If items or valuables brought by the guest to the inn and not deposited at the front desk are lost, damaged, etc., due to the inn's negligence, the inn shall compensate for the damage. However, the same compensation limit of 100,000 yen applies if the guest fails to provide evidence of the type and value of the items as requested by the inn.
Article 14 [Storage of Guests' Baggage or Belongings]

If a guest's baggage arrives at the inn before their arrival, it will be stored responsibly until their arrival, generally upon prior notification to the inn. This does not apply to dangerous goods, including those brought on the day of lodging.

If a guest forgets their baggage or belongings after checking out, the inn will generally wait for contact from the owner and request instructions. However, if there are no instructions from the owner or if the owner cannot be identified, the items will be stored for 7 days, including the discovery date, and then handed over to the nearest police station.
Article 15 [Responsibility for Parking]
If a guest uses the inn's parking lot, regardless of whether the vehicle keys are deposited, the inn only lends the space and does not assume responsibility for managing the vehicle. However, in managing the parking lot, the inn shall be liable for compensation if damage is caused due to the inn's negligence.
Article 16 [Responsibility of Guests]

If the inn suffers damage due to the intentional or negligent acts of a guest, the guest shall compensate the inn for the damage.

In order for guests to enjoy a comfortable stay, they are required to adhere to the following rules:
+Do not cause disturbance due to drunkenness.
+Do not disturb neighboring residences and adhere to minimal rules.
+Refrain from excessive loudness, vibrations, or noise.
+Prohibition of bringing in food and beverages from outside for food poisoning prevention.
【Cancellation Policy】
Since our inn accommodates only one group per day, once a reservation is made, the day becomes unavailable for further bookings. Due to this arrangement, to avoid risks,
"a cancellation fee of a certain percentage will be incurred when a reservation is canceled after it has been made."
We kindly ask that you refrain from making reservations that are like provisional bookings.
